What is RSS?

RSS feeds let you stay up to date with the latest content from CODEWORKS and other websites such as BBC, Reuters, CNet News, The Register, without needing to check them for updated stories throughout the day or week.

RSS stands for 'Really Simple Syndication', or 'Rich Site Summary' depening on who you are talking to.

If you're new to RSS, the first thing to do is to get an application called a News Aggregator, also known as a News Reader. This will pull in all news feeds that you 'subscribe' to. It will display the latest headlines from all your favourite websites and you can link through to the stories.

There are plenty of News Aggregators available. Install one and just follow your Aggregator's instructions to start adding RSS feeds from your favourite sites..
